Angels That Care Can't be Counted {Just Counted ON}

I could not believe the change
in a friend who had been low.
Her smile put the sun to shame!

"TEN angels?"  I gasp.  "TEN angels
are helping you?  Get out of here."
One is a stretch, ask me.   Say
I go along.   Surely one is enough."
"Oh, one can do the work," my friend says.
"But it's such a big job.  I prefer to pretend
there are ten."    Only seems fair."

I keep playing along.  "Tell me
which angel does what."   My friend sighs.
"Have to promise to really listen, okay?
"Sure, sure,"  I say between yawns.

"Tell you what," my friend says.
"I am going to let each angel present
a short synopsis of his or her duties.
Love their work so much   I am sure
they will be happy to talk to you."

"No problem!"  an angel speaks up.
"Only have to say our names."
"Doubt will dive into its hole
the minute you hear.  "Ready?"

Who did I forget?   Oh, yes.
The twins!   One is called H a p p i n e s s,
the other, J o y.   Almost identical,
but you can tell one from the other.
Figure out how,  let you know.

Right now, I have work to do.
Ten angels inform me that if I shape up,
they will do the same for me.
You, too~!!

Oddly enough, I believe in angels. . of the human variety, that is.   So many times, the right person has come along at just the right time {or the wrong one, in the sense that things were messed up}. . .don't you find that it is true?   Hafta be open....ohlaw', Pod is goin' off on another rant....
