The Loss Of Innocence
She sat in the corner of the darken room
Wiping the tears from her swollen eyes
Quietly trying to control her sobs
As she recalled her father's lies
A little blonde haired girl of only ten
Whose life was now filled with grief
If only she could confide in someone
Which one would they believe?
Six years earlier the abuse had begun
When she was only at the age of four
And when her mother left for work each day
Her father locked and bolted the door
He often called her his 'little sweetheart'
His 'treasured blonde haired baby'
And as he would stroke her fragile body
She wondered if all fathers did this, maybe
She refused his advances when there was pain
And threatened her mother she would tell
Flying into a rage he would beat her
Telling all who asked, she 'accidentally fell
While lying in her bed on a dark stormy night
Her mother left and slammed shut the door
The little 'blonde haired treasure' crept to her closet
Retrieving the gun she had hidden on the floor
This would be the last time he would hurt her
For she knew he would never change
And with little hands that trembled
She walked toward her father and took aim
He seen her approaching his side of the bed
And he begged her to put down the gun
But all the little girl wanted was freedom from him
No more would he touch her body for his fun
And as the bullet found its way to his heart
She knew he could hurt her no more
Now she was free from her living hell
While her father now lay dead on the floor
If you find yourself in this position or know someone that is please talk to someone and tell them about it. Dont let the parent tell you that this is something all daddy's do to their daughters. It is NOT true

Mommy Please Don't Go
She stood trembling alone in the playground
As she watched her mom get in the car
Fighting back the tears once more
Like a butterfly trapped in a jar
A little blonde haired girl of only four
She had been left here every day
For this was a neighborhood child care
That was charging her mommy to stay
She tried to understand being left there
And guessed mom didn't know they were mean
Now she stood alone and shivering
Trying hard to make believe it was a dream
From the very first day it had started
It was now approaching one year
Why were these people so mean to her
She was now left alone with her tears
Why did mommy always believe them
When they made up stories and lied
Of how she had fallen while playing
Why hadn't she questioned them why ?
Why would these people hug and kiss her
Only when her Mommy was around
While only a few short hours ago
Her hands had been slapped and bound
Why did they lie again to you mommy
By telling you the scratch upon my face
Had been inflicted by a six year old
Who accidentally hit me with her lace
Oh mommy! Help me find words to tell you
Of all the hurts here that I know
Listen to my sobs when I cling to you
For God's sake mommy please don't go
When seeing this picture of this child It laid heavy on my heart to write this poem
Although there are many reputable child cares in our country this type of abuse is
always on the news. If your child is hurt while in the care of another
ask questions of the child and the attendant as to the cause
Yesterday's Child
Morning rays upon a tear stained face
Revealed another sleepless night
Her thoughts of her three year old child
She longed to see with all her might
Just who could have taken her little boy
And where did they plan to hide him
What was behind their insane scheme
And would the police be able to find them
No fame or fortune did they possess
Fresh tears flowed down upon her face
Just how could this have happened
To have lost him without a trace
So many times she had heard on the news
A child being reported as missing
But not once thinking it would ever be hers
She never gave much thought to listening
It had happened just barely two nights ago
After tucking him safe in his bed
Reading a fairy tale story to him
Hugging and kissing his curly head
That morning as the alarm awakened her
She felt it was very strange indeed
Why was he not standing by her bed
Saying, 'Mommy it's breakfast I need'
Sensing right away that something was wrong
She raced to his room down the hall
Fighting back tears now flooding her eyes
As her baby boy's name she did call
Their time is spent in tormenting hours
While they pray for a call with good news
Will they ever find her precious little boy
And will the search turn up any clues
Tonight as you put your child to bed
Check all windows, doors, and locks
We must guard and protect our children
When evildoers come to knock
